ABOUT
I use a traditional pen and ink hand drawing style to create my illustrations (along with a bit of help from photoshop) as well as plenty of colour and humour which is why my work is so popular in the children’s publishing industry.
A bit of history –
I have been working as an illustrator for over 20 years. I loved drawing even when I was a tiny person so much so that I went on from school and college to study design and fashion at the university of Reading. The best part of the course was the design side of things and I quickly realised that a career in illustration might be the best way forward, which was lucky as I was terrible at sewing. I still am!
I really enjoy working in children’s publishing as there are loads more fun things to draw. I have worked with publishers like Hachette, Wellbeck, Penguin random house, Puffin books, Simon and Schuster to name a few.
Its always great to hear from people, so if you have a book idea, or any other illustration idea for that matter, where you think my illustrations would help, or if you just want to say hi then please feel free to drop me a line!
